Ive known Dean Letfus for a while now and I wanted to speak about what I admire about him. I first met Dean about 6 months ago at a training event. What struck me the most Dean was he is not perfect.
So whats so Special about Dean Letfus
He is not trying to be Brad Pitt or Bill Gates or like many people of todays error running around with the latest Hair Cut or new Holden trying to show how cool he is to the masses. He is Dean Letfus and no one else.
From how I see Dean he lives by 3 Beliefs when it comes to business. They are:-
- He must be Having Fun
- He must be helping people
- He takes Action
These are 2 principles we should always look to in life. So many of us seem to run around in jobs that we do not like working 45 hours a week so we can cherish the free time we have. But why Live like that. Dean has carved a life in Buying, Selling and Training people in property to help open there eyes to this freedom.
Now Property may not be your thing, it could be internet marketing you might want to be a top level photographer but I think the 3 morals, beliefs or what ever you want to call them stand true in everything in business.
- Don’t have a job or a business where you do not find passion or fun in it
- If your main goal is money over helping people you are only setting yourself up for failure
- An idea is only an idea with out Action. So take a chance you might not get it perfect the first time but you will be further than most people
The last point is best demonstrated by looking at Microsoft. Every version of windows is released at about the 80 – 90% ready stage. Microsoft knows this. Because they know it is easier to release it and fix it while it is being used. People have grown to expect this and this is why we spend half our lives downloading windows service updates.
In saying all this the point I am trying to make is Take a lesson out of Dean Letfus’s book. These 3 things will change your life. If you apply them.
Truly ask yourself if you have fun every day at your job (I know I do), Do you get joy out of helping people every day (I do) and do you take action on opportunities when they present themselves? I know I do (even if they don’t all work out)
