As I said in section 1 most people really thought I was crazy.. My dad more than anyone, is stuck in his way of thinking. “Fasting is only starving yourself”. If you look at the deffinition starving is having no choice about eating, fasting is not eating or drinking by choice.
I decided...

As you may have read I am currently in the process of Psycho Cybernetics by Maxwell Malts and I continue to be amazed at how
a 50 year old book got it so right. We all run around buying different fad products when it comes to weight loss or making money, or
in other cases how to find a better relationship. When all you really needed was this book. Let me give you a bit more detail on the
pearls of wisdom I have taken from this book.
Visualization controls your actions.
The book talks about how your subconscious and your nervous system are a computer. This leaves your conscious to be the geeky kid in contorol.
This is a very simple analogy but makes complete sense. The main reason that people strugle to suceed is instead of using the computer to accoplish
goals we prefer to do them ourselves. For example Say I was interested in girl that was sitting across the bar from me and I wanted to ask her out. If
I am not great at this so I would get a bit over concious of myself and either talk myself out of it or tell myself I will be humiliated or she does not wantt
me.
Instead what I should be doing is defining the outcome which is to take her home, I should be feeding my computer the information e.g. topics to talk
to her about, thinking of things to say, working out the finer details. This should be followed by strong emotional Visualizing of the end result, I won’t
go in to details of my thoughts on this point.
Now you are probably saying what is the next big move? The answer to this is to relax. Let your subconcious take over and stop worring. Your
confidence will flow and i will work out.
I really suggest reading the book to get the details and it will make more sence. Let me say this works I have started using it with great effect… Ladies..
The popularity of Hypnosis has increased steadily over the last 30 or 40 years. Hypnotherapy is now recognized as a valuable tool to create positive change in peoples lives. The basis of Hypnosis is to reprogram your subconsious(or unconsious). I mysef have applied self Hypnosis to change parts of my life and it really bloody works. Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy are some of the quickest ways to bring on change.
I use in the fact that I take myself in to a trance and go through a visualization process. I have attached a video below to help you out in one of the techniques I use. The Hypnotherapy I use in this video is that I can make myself not be able to open my eyes. It really works. Do what they guy says and it will work.
Video: Hypnosis in action
From this Hypnotic State I sometimes imagine that I can not move my right arm and that it is getting heavier. It is like it has turned to stone or that it is being tied down with rope or similar. Visualization is the key to this technique.
Once you are in this state of Hypnosis using Visualization is the key. What are your goals? What is the outcome you are trying to achieve? Think about it to the minute details. My favourite is me walking in to a gathering my family has every christmas having dropped 30 kg’s and looking great, I think about how I do not need to smoke anymore as it is no longer part of my self image.
This is my goal and I can tell you I have lost 20kg and do not smoke anymore since starting this Hypnotic process. I am not saying I have not worked hard at my goal but this technique makes it easier and you will start noticing things falling in to place. To find out more about a book to help open your mind, read my review on the book Psycho Cybernetics
I bought this book 2 weeks now. Time really fly’s. Honestly I am 4 chapters in and it has hands down beaten anything I have read by Tony Robbins, Chris Howard or any of the other big wigs in the mind changing business.
Psycho Cybernetics is known as the book before hype. This is where the speakers of today learn’t about visualization, you are who you believe you are and other simple yet effective tools.
This book focuses on the premise that your Sub Conscious and your Nervous system are a machine that your conscious controls. It is a machine driven for success and that you must use the power of your conscious to control it correctly or you will be doomed to failure.
The reason this book sings out to me is that it is down to earth. It is not telling you how great he is and why you should buy it. It is about his search to find how to change a persons Self Image. As Dr Maltz was a Plastic Surgeon he always wondered why some clients changed dramaticly after surgery and some did not. This is why he wrote Psycho Cybernetics.
All I can say before you buy any other success book read this one. You should be able to rent it from the library or I have popped a link below. It is like $10 and you will not regret it. It is more real now then it was 50 years ago in my opinion. (Disclaimer: I am 24)

You know I am sick of it.
Moan.. Moan.. Moan.. Aww he did this that is why I can not do what I want. Winge Winge Winge.
Stop it.
The only way you can take control of your life is to take responsibility. You are not in control of what happens externally but you are completely responsible for your next choice and your reaction to life’s events.
Here is an example of me following what I preach. I used to fight with my dad. We were cut from the same cloth. We bump head on discussions that turn in to blown out fights and stress. I always said he was responsible and he said the opposite.
One day after learning the lesson above I decided to take responsibility whether I initially thought it was my fault or not. By doing this I decided to keep my voice down and not fight. To do this I listened more and let him speak more of the time. I agreed with him on points and complimented him when he did not shout or structured his argument with out a stab at me personally.
By doing this I took responsibility to make a change and it worked. I am still getting better at it but it is one of the biggest tools in your arsenal.
Who do you blame?
Who do you give the power to of blame?
Is this holding you back(Don’t Lie to yourself we all do this)?
Are you a big enough person to take responsibility?
This can fix major relationship problems, It can fix business issue’s by you going the extra mile even if you did not think you should originally.
It even works with weight loss. I blamed my parents for always giving us kids to much food when we were younger. I finally took responsibility away from blaming my parents, McDonalds and my friends.
“Success for me is whether you have created something that you can be really proud of”
What an amazing quote. I read the whole book which I loved and this quote is near the end. It is by far my favourite meaning of success. The deffinition plays on every part of our lives.
Have you created a relationship you can be proud of with your wife(or husband) and kids? In your working life are you proud of what you have achieved and did you give it your all?
Next time you are feeling you life is not great think back to this quote and put it up against your life. Are you proud of what you are achieving? If not change it. You are in control. This is what Business Stripped Bare by Richard Branson Teaches.
I must recommend this book to people who enjoy stories as there are many from Richard’s days in virgin, people who enjoy reading about busienss ethics and how you can use them in business and more than anything to people who are sick of boring business books.
As I am so sick of long winded to do lists and people telling me the exact way to do things. In “Business Stripped Bare” Richard lays out the playing field gives you some pointers on how to navigate it but does not give you a specific task to do. So if you are not great with deep meanings in books I might not recommend it as you have to read between the lines and draw your own conclusions.
I love this as I am dyslexic and so it he. If he can produce a book like this it gives me hope. (Im sure he had an editor or 2 though
